Bringing Awareness
to Every Door

We believe change begins with understanding. Namma Mysore Foundation® runs structured Information, Education & Communication (IEC) programs that turn passive bystanders into active Zero Waste champions — in homes, schools, panchayats, and boardrooms.

Awareness isn’t a brochure.
It’s a conversation.

At NMF, we don’t just distribute pamphlets. Our IEC field teams live in the communities they serve — holding group sessions in courtyards, visiting households on foot, running waste-literacy assessments, and building relationships that create lasting behaviour change around the three-bin segregation system.

“Awareness is the first act of environmental justice. When a household learns to segregate waste at source, it is not following a rule — it is claiming dignity for the waste workers who collect what they leave behind.”

       — K. Dasharath, Chairman, Namma Mysore Foundation®
Evidence-Driven Methodology

Every program starts with a Waste Literacy Index (WLI) survey. We measure awareness gaps before we enter a community, and again at the end to prove real change.

Community Ownership, Not Charity

We train and certify local women as Jagruti Champions — turning neighbours into peer educators so the change sustains long after our formal program ends.

Technology-Augmented Outreach

From AR Waste Journey demos on tablets to geo-tagged field visits tracked on WASTRAQ, our IEC programs are measurable, transparent, and CSR-audit ready

Bilingual & Culturally Rooted

All materials are produced in both Kannada and English. Our teams include women from the local community who speak the language of trust.

How We Reach Every Corner of Mysuru

From Gram Panchayats to corporate campuses, each NMF awareness program is tailored to its audience — with distinct entry points, formats, and measurable outcomes.

We Reach Every Voice
That Shapes a City

Sustainable cities aren’t built by governments alone. Real behaviour change happens when every stakeholder — from a grandmother sorting wet waste at 6 AM to a CEO signing off an ESG report — understands their role.

Households & Residential Communities

The heart of source segregation. Our IEC teams work door-to-door, covering entire wards and panchayats — ensuring no family is left out of the Zero Waste conversation.

♦ Door-to-door awareness visits by SHG mobilisers
♦ Kannada-language BCC materials including posters, comics & flip charts
♦ Three-bin system orientation and household assessment
♦ Gamified Swachh Points for compliance incentivisation

Schools & Educational Institutions

Children are our most powerful ambassadors. What they learn at school goes home to the dinner table — creating a generational shift in how families think about waste.

Structured Eco Club training and certification for student leaders
Classroom waste-literacy modules aligned with Karnataka school curriculum
School plantation drives and composting demonstrations
Peer-to-peer awareness campaigns and student Jagruti Champions

Corporate Campuses & Industries

Companies generate significant dry and wet waste streams. NMF’s corporate IEC sessions help organisations set up in-house segregation systems while building measurable ESG data for BRSR disclosures.

Onsite employee awareness workshops in multiple formats
Waste audit and segregation system design consultation
CSR-compliant impact documentation for annual reports
BRSR linkage and sustainability communication support

Heritage Sites, Tourists & Pilgrims

Chamundi Hill alone receives lakhs of visitors annually. Our heritage-site IEC programs intercept littering behaviour at the point of entry — where awareness matters most.

Signage, bin-placement strategy and live demonstrations at key footfall zones
Volunteer-led awareness at temple entrances, viewpoints and bus stands
Collaboration with INTACH and Karnataka Tourism for multilingual

We Reach Every Voice
That Shapes a City

Our WASTRAQ platform — NMF’s proprietary digital waste intelligence system — transforms field IEC activities from anecdotal stories into audited, CSR-ready data. Every household visit, every group session, every follow-up assessment is geo-tagged, time-stamped, and available in real-time on a CSR partner dashboard.

  Geo-Tagged Field Tracking

Every door-to-door visit is logged with GPS coordinates and timestamp, eliminating ghost-visit data issues common in manual IEC programs.

  Real-Time CSR Partner Dashboard

Corporate CSR partners get live access to program progress — households covered, WLI scores, compliance rates, and cost-per-beneficiary analytics.

 Augmented Reality Waste Journey Demo

Tablet-based AR tool lets field educators show a household visually where their waste goes — from bin to zero — making segregation viscerally.

  Gamified Swachh Points

Households earn points for verified segregation compliance, tracked via WASTRAQ and redeemable through local incentive ecosystems, sustaining behaviour beyond program close.
