The value and purpose of trees and plants is enormous; their existence is vital for our survival. From pine and oak, to willow and ash, we’re surrounded by a huge variety of different types of trees. We see wide range of importance of trees. Trees prevent flooding and soil erosion, by absorbing thousands of liters of storm water. NMF volunteers and trustees have actively involved themselves in planting saplings to preserve natural flora. Namma Mysore Foundation® was born out of the concern for environment and took it upon as its responsibility to motivate and encourage Mysoreans towards beautifying the heritage city by keeping it clean. Hence, passively determined to bring changes, in increasing green cover in the Heritage City Mysuru and conducted heritage walks to benefit future generations. NMF urges to make sure Mysuru stands No. 01 position in cleanest city in India and participated in reusing and #SwitchToRecycle campaigns to reduce plastic wastes to make sure Mysuru stays clean and green city to gift the same for upcoming generations.
