This collaboration marks a significant step towards transforming Siddhalingapura into a model village for sustainable living. Together, we are introducing structured waste management systems, community-led clean-up drives, and educational programs that empower residents to take charge of their environment.
With a focus on effective waste segregation, responsible recycling, and environmental restoration, the initiative aims to eliminate open dumping, promote the 3R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and ensure that every household actively contributes to a zero-waste future.
By combining local leadership, citizen participation, and modern environmental practices, this partnership is not just cleaning streets — it’s building a culture of responsibility and pride that will inspire other communities across Mysuru and beyond.
Namma Mysore Foundation® (NMF), in collaboration with the Siddalingapura Gram Panchayat, has undertaken several initiatives to transform the village into a model for cleanliness and sustainability. Regular clean-up drives have been conducted to remove waste from public spaces and prevent open dumping. Waste segregation awareness campaigns have been carried out in schools and communities, encouraging residents to separate wet and dry waste at source.
To enhance the beauty and health of the environment, NMF volunteers have planted saplings along the main roads, improved waste collection points, and engaged villagers in maintaining clean surroundings. These efforts aim not only to create a cleaner Siddalingapura today but to build a lasting culture of environmental responsibility for future generations.
